PURPOSE
"Getting the word out", seeding different ways of seeing and being in the world through creative experiences that naturally expand consciousness. I have gained understanding of how discipline and freedom work together, through dance, how traditional forms can serve innovative expression, through plant medicine and litigation, how individual practice connects to collective movement, through spiritual journeys.
Founding Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in Washington D.C. in 1973 led me to the understanding of the crucial role creative communities will play in these changing times. This work has evolved with a vision for local creative innovation hubs working together as a global community. A new form of cultural infrastructure is both experiential and economically sustainable.
Rhythms of the Globe, an entertainment company, is conceived with a foundation of “creative capital” working with the creative communities in new and inclusive ways. Rhythms of the Globe offers experiences for artists and audiences to bring a renewed sense of awareness, through environments structured enough to function, free enough to allow authentic emergence, where culture moves organically, following its natural rhythms. Inviting different perspectives in how people see and experience the world, with creativity as the vehicle for connection.
In Asheville, in the conscious business session, I spoke briefly about Rhythms of the Globe. When I finished Emanuel said: “This sounds like the Holomovement”.
Our core is growing and there are openings for change that are expanding around the world.
